NYC: Café Orlin

Café Orlin @ 41 St. Marks Place

A couple of my high school friends came out for brunch on this beautiful Sunday morning. If I had known that the wait was ridiculously long, I would have dragged everyone out earlier. After eating their food, I understand why the wait was an hour plus. The meals were absolutely delicious.

The eggs were poached correctly, leaving the right amount of runny yolks. The hollandaise sauce was not too heavy. This dish came with fresh squeezed orange juice and cappucino.

I was excited about these pancakes! The texture and taste were on par. Fluffy, soft, and the fresh blueberries went very well with this dish.

Atmosphere inside is very noisy. Not sure if the servers were attentive enough though. Maybe they figured we were all gathering for a reunion. Bathrooms were small. Cramped public sink in between the stalls. I guess they made the most of what space they had. Definitely a great go-to brunch place with out of town guests.
